The 2004 X d T is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Merlot aged in 50% Spanish and 50% French oak. Purple-colored, it offers up an alluring nose of toasty oak, pencil lead, spice box, violets, and blackberry. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with excellent volume, intense flavors, and enough structure to evolve for 5-7 years. Currently it lacks complexity but that should emerge with additional cellaring.

Drink it from 2015 to 2029.
